New Delhi, May 23: In order to control the BJP's youth wing protesters who took out a massive rally in the national capital against the UPA-II government's corruption and scandals, the police resorted to baton charge and water cannons on Thursday. Holding banners, protesters marched through the streets, shouting slogans against the government and demanded Manmohan Singh's resignation. About 30 activists were detained when they were trying to march towards Connaught Place from their initial gathering near Ashoka Road. Even as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday gave the UPA government an 'A' in its report card, on the occasion of its 4 year completion, the opposition lashed out at the Congress for ruining the economy of this country.
