Itanagar: Reports are coming in that the missing Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu has been found dead; the site where his helicopter crashed has also been identified. However, there has been no official confirmation so far.
Sources involved in the massive search operation that has lasted five days say the wreckage of Mr Khandu's helicopter has been found in Lobthang.
There were five people on board the Pawan Hans helicopter which disappeared on Saturday morning. The Chief Minister was headed to Itanagar from Tawang. His helicopter lost contact as it approached Sela Pass 13,000 feet above sea level.
The bodies will now be airlifted.
